DON'T BE FOOLED

A pure bread American Staffordshire Terrier is registered in The Swedish Kennel Club (SKK) when you buy it.
The puppy gets a unique registration number from SKK when the breeder reports it. The Registration number and the pedigree is sent to the breeder for DNA analysis approval. This can take a few weeks to do which means that the pedigree is commonly sent to the buyers after the buy. To be sure you are buying by a serious and honest breeder we deeply recommend that you chose a registered breeder with documented offsprings so you will be sure that your puppy will be registered. When the pedigree finally is delivered you can easily check up the registration number on Dog Data

All dogs no matter what breed are suppose to be Id marked
According to this law (from 2001) they are to be registered with Ministry of Agriculture

The information that are registered with Ministry of Agriculture is:
Owners name and address, together with the dogs every day name, birth data and its breed ( or look like )

You are registered as owner for an ID marked dog so you can easily locate it if the dog for example is missing and someone has found it. All dogs, even mixed breeds are to be "owner registered" in Ministry of Agriculture.

This is not to be confused with Swedish Kennel Club's register that only comprise pure bread dogs and their inheritance. Always check out the documentation on the dog you are buying. Otherwise you could be paying expansive money for a mixed breed!
